virtualization virtualization …is a big topic at sandoom. what is virtualization, what is a vm? one speaks of virtualization when operating systems are simulated or emulated. these operating systems are then virtual machines (vms). these roles or services are used i.d.r. to save costs and also utilize existing hardware (host). you don't want to use and purchase separate hardware for each server. many things are now outsourced to so-called clouds. you rent storage space and virtual servers from a service provider. sometimes it is cheaper if you choose this way. but there is also a question of security when you hand over the reins. but everyone has to answer that for themselves. |
